Introduction Amanda started life like most other little girls. She played with dolls, wore dresses, took ballet lessons, and learned gymnastics. However, having an avid NASCAR fan for her father, Amanda grew up watching races with her dad on Sunday afternoons. The dolls were soon traded in for Matchbox race cars and her interest in racing was born. Then, at six years old she went to watch her first quarter midget race and was hooked. By the fall of 2000, Amanda was racing her first quartermidget race car. With an unrelenting determination to win, she won her first regional championship in 2001 at the age of 8 years old. She continued on to win an additional 6 championships in the following 5 years. After an exciting 7 years of racing quartermidgets, Amanda moved on to race mini sprints in 2007. At the age of 13, she was the youngest female to ever race in the Florida Mini Sprint Association. In 2008, Amanda started racing a 360 sprint car and continued racing her mini sprint when the schedules didn't conflict. She managed to pick up her first win in a sprint car at Auburndale Speedway running with a wing on asphalt. The 2009 racing season was an exciting one for Amanda. She continued racing on dirt with a wing and on asphalt with and without a wing. She won Rookie of the Year with the Checkered Flag Sprint Series. She also became the youngest female to win a wingless 360 sprint car race on asphalt. This year, Amanda will be running a full season with the Checkered Flag Sprint Series (asphalt without a wing) and will run races with the Top Gun Sprint Series (dirt with a wing) and the United Sprint Car Association as her schedule allows. She will also be participating in the Race101 program in Denver, NC.

Future Racing Plans Amanda's short term goal is to continue racing her 360 sprint car. In 2010, she will be running a full schedule with the Checkered Flag Sprint Series (asphalt/wingless) driving the #20 KJ Motorsports car, she will participate in some the Top Gun Sprint Series races and some out of state races with the USCS (dirt & asphalt/winged). In addition, she hopes to gain some seat time in a super late model later this year. This will help better prepare her for when she applies to the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program in 2011. Whatever she does, you can be sure that her parents and Grandpa Mike will be at her side.
